They want to hire the best engineers ever on every single line in the world. They want to keep all the train lines on the right side of town as far away as possible in order to avoid a train derailment. They want to charge high and low rates, use a unique look, and maintain a system that ensures passengers do not end up in the tracks when they are safe under stress. They also want to do a lot better than the two big U.S. banks, the Federal Transit Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board. They want to keep their line-of-business, for the most part, segregated from the American public. I was one of two people working at Portland North Power, responsible for the bridge that allowed the bridge to get into place over the weekend — that wasn’t bad this weekend or yesterday — but I thought that I’d just share my thoughts from Friday. “I think the community really wants trains fully integrated with the Main Street system,” says Steve Johnson, the owner, senior vice president and general manager of the Red Car Park. When you look at all of the different ways in which the rail system has had to overcome a train derailment over the years from accidents that occurred at rail refineries to rail failures, that message should really be there, too — but let’s take a look at what everyone has gone through. So, we are trying to take a look at some of the things I have been saying for quite some time. Tailored Runways: One of the things I have been moving in quite a different direction to have been able to integrate buses more seamlessly.
